muCommander for MAC

Free, open-source dual-pane file manager for Mac with tabs, FTP, SFTP, SMB, Amazon S3 and cloud storage, plus archive support and custom shortcuts.

muCommander Overview

muCommander is a lightweight, dual-pane file manager: two folders side by side, so copying and moving files between them is quick. It can copy, move, rename and batch rename files, email them and calculate checksums, with multiple tabs, universal bookmarks and configurable keyboard shortcuts.

A virtual file system lets it work the same way with local volumes, FTP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, HTTP, Amazon S3, Hadoop HDFS and Bonjour, as well as cloud storage on Dropbox and Google Drive. It opens archives including ZIP, RAR, 7z, TAR, GZip, BZip2 and ISO, and a credentials manager keeps your logins. muCommander is open source under the GPL and runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. Version 1.6.2 is a small maintenance release that fixes a possible crash at startup. There are separate Mac downloads for Apple Silicon and Intel, and the developers say to use the noarch download on macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and below. They do not publish a minimum macOS version for the other two.
